So it has been a while since I posted anything up on here… So many reasons, so many almost-written posts sitting on my Mac. Anyway new year, new start and all the rest of it. So if you are here checking in on what I have to say, then THANK YOU and also HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Towards the end of 2016 I ended up with pretty rotten flu which started during my Finland trip, got crazy busy with my day job, with photography work, and then also with some freelance social media work, and then a trip to North Yorkshire over the Holidays, and so somehow documenting my gluten-free gluttony fell by the wayside a bit. Not that I am complaining about being busy and if you follow @bekitakespictures on Insta then you will know that I am certainly eating well!
I know everyone was on a downer about 2016, but on a personal level, lots of awesome things happened. I stopped working in the restaurant industry, which despite my love of good food, was wrecking my health, and got a new job at a great start-up. I worked a lot on my health and am starting to feel a lot better as a result, my feet have now recovered to the point I can wear high heels again, much to the annoyance of my pet Finn who keeps falling over my shoe collection, and my other joint issues have settled down to the point where I am no longer sustained on strong painkillers. My photography work started to take off and I picked up some freelance social media work with some great new businesses. I also finally got around to starting this blog even though I kind of slipped up on posting, not perfect, but a start!!
So suddenly we are a month and a half deep in 2017… Time to start making things happen!! I’m still crazy busy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Time to get this show back on the road though, I’ve got some great posts lined up from some of the delicious things (can’t forget the delicious things!) I have been stuffing my face with in the meantime!
